New in Orsane: Multi-select for bulk task edits

Updates May 17, 2026

Multi-select is live. Pick a handful of tasks, click the cell you want to change on any of them, and the edit applies to all of them at once.

There’s no separate bulk-edit mode. The selection is the bulk-edit mode.

How it works

Selection works the way it does in a spreadsheet:

  • Click a row to select it. Click again to deselect.
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Click toggles individual tasks in and out of the selection.
  • Shift+Click extends the selection from the last clicked row.
  • Cmd/Ctrl+A grabs everything in the current view.

With rows selected, click any cell you want to change. It applies to the whole selection. That covers status, priority, assignee, due date, list membership, and custom fields (text, number, duration, date).

One thing worth knowing: if you click a cell on a task that isn’t part of the selection, only that task changes.

A few extras

Tab on a selection nests those rows as subtasks of the row above. Shift+Tab outdents them again.

Dragging a selected row moves the whole group. Dragging an unselected row only moves that one row, which is usually what you want when you grab something quickly.

Backspace or Delete deletes everything selected. (There’s a confirmation step before anything actually goes.)

Titles are still single-task.
